I recently did some soil testing on some fairways and tees because I was having some thinning issues and diseases seem to thrive in the areas in question. I received the test result today and found that my pH is a little low. 5.03 on a couple of fairways and 5.54 on a couple of tees. I know liming is pretty much the best option but I was wondering if there are any other things I can do. Also if anyone has experience with liquid lime I'd be interested in hearing about it.

A client of mine about 20 years ago in Ireland used this product below from UK based Rigby Taylor. It worked pretty well for his greens bringing them from 5 to 6 pH in about 1 year. Thatch will be an issue at pH of 5 because microorganisms cannot do their job.
    Microcal pH Adjustment 25Kg

Microcal pH Adjustment is a micro-granulated form of Carbonate of Lime, making application a dust-free and simple operation. Microcal helps to re-dress the pH balance in soils that are too acidic.
    RRP: £15.60
    On-line Price: £14.04

Maybe there is something similar stateside.
