I'm going to be spraying Legacy for the first time, any feedback on a starting point for rates? My greeens are 70% bent and 30% poa in the midwest. Temperatures over the next week are suppose to be low to mid 80's.

    Any information would be appreciated.

    Bill,
My course is about 60 miles south of Chicago.

I'm applying Legacy at the .13 oz.per 1,000 rate this year. There were a couple of times that the poa got hurt some what when we had the 90 and 100 degree days. If your at a place where you can not tolerate the yellowing of the poa then I would suggest going at a lower rate. I've got a friend whose greens are over 75% poa and he won't use it because of the cutless that is in it.

I've applied it at the rate of .11 for years and never had any yellowing of the poa.

    Bill,
I am located in southwest Ohio, and have been using legacy since May of this year. I started at 5 oz/a and am now at 8 oz/a. I did have some yellowing of the poa when the temps were in the high 90's. I always include some iron when spraying it.

I use 10-15 oz per acre with little or no yellowing on anything but an old push up green which has more poa. I always add some iron to help combat yellowing seems to help. 15 oz which is above the label rate for bent greens can have minor discoloration in the overlap but seems to subside quickly. I use heavy indicator to insure we make minimum overlap. My greens are L93 and run from 5% to 15% poa, located 40 miles north of Chicago. I have never used product when temps exceed 90 degrees just to be safe.

Thanks for the information. I've been using Trimmit the last few years and it is to hard on the Poa under stressful conditions. I've been told Cutless tends to be not as aggressive towards the Poa leaving a more consistent surface. I'm thinking the .13 oz/1000 would be a good rate to start at.

Started using it 3 years ago. On greens I go with the 6-8oz per acre rate. Fairways I use 18-20 oz acre. I sprayed my nursery green with the 20 oz rate a while back and it looked amazing!
