   Look for a new fairway mower. I am looking for the new LF 550 by Jacobsen. Any feel back of this machine compare to the old lf3400. Thank

   Its a good machine, pretty much the same base as the previous 3400 model. The 550 has the controls on an armrest and allows you to pre-set the mow speed. The five inch reels only go up to .5" cut height, if you plan on ever cutting any higher you will need to get the 570 with 7" reels. We have had our 5" reels down to .25".

   We've had these for about a year now. I like being able to set mow speed electronically. The only problems we've had was a wheel bearing go bad in the rear wheel, which was covered under warranty. The bristles on the groomer brushes fell out as well. These were covered also.
