    Hi,

Has anyone been successful in knocking back paspalum in bentgrass greens, enough to give bent the advantage in summer?

    Temps winter 45F to 60+F 10C to 17C
    spring 55F to 75F 15C to 22C
    summer 65F to 100F 18C to 40C
    autumn 55F to 75F 15C to 22C

Paspalum goes dormant end of October and starts coming back end of May

It is Salaam that was trialed in a few greens many years ago and keeps gaining ground. We now have about 6000 sq ft in large and some small patches.

    Thanks Michael

There is one course here using a secret mix of 3 chemicals : I have correctly deduced sulcotrione ( kikuyu ), and Acclaim ( bermuda ) but can´t figure out the third possibility. This three way mix knocks back the paspalum big time and virtually kills kikuyu and bermuda. I am hoping to start in May biweekly and prevent transition back to paspalum and stop the bermuda from popping up. This super clobbered these three grasses without touching the bent. There was no damage with boom sprayer or with knapsack. This treatment began at end of July , 100F with warm seasons in peak form.

Pylex is not available anywhere in Europe yet. BASF have been working on registration for almost 10 years.

    Any ideas, much appreciated.

    Thanks Michael
