Kenneth Ingram, CGCS said: Does it kill bermuda or just keep the stolons from rooting down? Never had much use for Tupersan as a pre-emerge product and it is very expensive. Currently we are trying everything known to man to selectively remove bermuda from bent fairways in the mid-atlantic. Alot of work with the new Pylex product. Just wondering if we should include Tupersan in some of this work. Kenneth Ingram, UMD
Kenneth, the University of Missouri did some trials with Pylex and it worked great for them, they tried 3 different start dates for 3 different trails. The early one showed complete kill, the second one that was being done at the time of field day was showing the bermuda going out, the third they had not started yet. It seems they didn't need to add Tupersan that I'm aware of. Unless you are thinking about comparing the Tupersan to Pylex, that might be interesting. If you want to compare notes, you might contact Xi Xiong, her Masters student was doing the research plot. Mel
