Question for anyone that has a hydraulic irrigation system. I have a 10 * 2.5 inch canister on our supply line located at the pump system that holds the 10 * 2.5 filters inside of it. I had been using a 20 micron cellulose filter but was told by my supplier that I should be running the pleated polyester. These new filters are clogging up fairly quickly. I like the looks of them as the cellulose ones are swollen up whenever we remove them. The new polyester are just dirty but form and shape of them still look good. I clogged both the 20 micron & 30 micron polyester ones within 3-5 days. I just put in a 50 micron one in to see what kind of results I get out of that. Our 20 micron cellulose ones never clogged up. However, they state not for use with unchlorinated water. So, anyone that has this setup, could you tell me what type of filter you are using with description of type and micron size and how often you change them out. This water is from an irrigation pond, untreated.
Thanks.
