    Hi,

Just trying to get an idea of HOC ranges for GM 1000 walkmowers in the northeast this time of year.

I have poa/bent greens. I just started walk mowing them recently. I had been tri plexing them at .125

I am mowing them now at .150 and rolling 4x a week. Green speed is decent and they are holding up fairly well considering the last three weeks were difficult.

Any input would be greatly appreciated from my fellow nor easters

    cheers duncan

    Duncan,

We set our walkers .015 higher than the rider. Works pretty good for us. I've got bent/poa on 80-100 year old 4" topdressed capped greens.

    Duncan,

When I was in Northern Indiana we would walk mow at .156 and triplex was set to .140. We had good green speeds, of course HOC wasn't the only thing with that, we kept moisture levels down, we topdressed and verticut every three weeks, and sprayed every two weeks with Sili-Kal B along with Gary's Green and Primo, (although after learning about the 200 gdd program of Primo, we probably got the rebound effect every once in a while.

Depending on what you were triplexing with, I would guess if you triplexed at .125 if you set your walkers at .135 - .140 it would maybe be the same. I'm just guessing though.
