PACE Turf and the Asian Turfgrass Center have developed a growth potential (GP) avatar program that might be handy when we are trying to communicate turfgrass growing conditions at our locations. You can generate a GP Avatar for your location like the one I am using for my profile from San Diego and change your profile avatar to the GP Avatar from your location. You have to shrink the size of the image to 90 x 90 pixels, but any photo program should let you set the size of the image. You can find the GP Avatar appliction at:

Here is an example of various turfgrass growth conditions in California. The x-axis represents the 12 months of the year and the y-axis is percent growth potential. The red line represents warm season grasses and the blue line represents cool season grasses.
