I've a Watertronics pump station with a 20 horse on an Altivar 61 VFD. The drive and 20 horse were installed within a month of each other (last year late) by different companies. Anyway immediately when the pump motor and drive kick on the VFD immediately stops and shows Ground Short Circuit. The pump motor Meggers fine measuring resistance. When the new pump and motor were installed the pump company used the old wires. I've a good suspicion these wires were not voltage tested for any current leakage.
Anyway, can not disable the ground fault so today irrigation company is installing a replacement drive of the exact same model. If this one also faults I think I need to go after the pump company about the old wires, everything of course is still under warrenty. Anyone come across this?
