I've recently moved to North Dakota from Las Vegas. In Vegas we were using lesco products for our greens programs, that included a dry app and an app that we watered in. I can't get the lesco products I want, so I used Floratine this year. Had good results with the product, but I'm at a low budget facility and was wondering what products some of you were using in the area that are as effective but less expensive. I've got low water quality on pushup greens, so I'm pretty much on a foliar program. Thanks for your info.

Also in ND. I've gone away from the name brand products for my base all together. Check with your reps to see which ones can get liquid versions of the NPK levels you want. Then I use supplimentary products to get the added nutrition I need. Not sure where you are in ND, but I'm out on the western edge with bad water and soils as well. Drop me an email or give me a call, I'll list out a few of the products and vendors I've been using the past few seasons.

I'm not sure about your area, but I've used Redox products at my last two courses. Economical pricing and they have products to take care of just about any nutritional problem you might encounter. The only drawback is that most (not all) of their products are in powder form that you have to mix up as a slurry and add to the tank. Personally, I'd rather mix up the slurry than have to pay for shipping on the water.

I looked at the Redox products this year and it ended up being MORE expensive than the Floratine products I was using. The Redox products don't have any N, so adding an outside N source made it more expensive.

I didn't use any of the high N products from Floratine, too expensive. I got a liquid source of N and used that with the 3 or 4 Floratine products I put in the tank.

I also went to spraying UMAXX on fairways this year and had great results. Not sure how that would transfer to a greens program, something to look at though.
