Whats the best way to cover and un-cover Bermuda greens? Have small labor force and wondering if anyone has came up with a way of pulling covers without using 3 or 4 employees.

Good Luck on finding a quick and easy way. From my experience, it usually takes us anywhere from 3-4 hours with 4-5 guys to cover/uncover 3 Ac of greens. We have the old school heavy white fabric style covers, and when wet are a nightmare to pull. I have always thought of a way to use a big pipe and 2 tractors, like they do for baseball fields, just don't know if it would work because of tight spaces, angles, etc.

we have the fabric covers too. 2 guys when they are dry can move them pretty easily in about 4 hours or so. when wet it usually takes about 4 guys. I have not found an easy way of moving them yet. we fold them in half a few times and roll them to the back of the green where they are then picked up and moved out of the way of play. painted arrows on them to line them back up for easy re-covering. It seems like using machinery to move them would cause unnecessary damage to the turf around the green, especially if the grass is wet. My strategy is when I know the blankets are going to be wet when removed the next day, I have a couple of the guys stay late the day before and get some work done so we don't get behind from using extra crew members on blanket removal.
