I am having issues with goose grass on my greens. I just started @ this course in January and the goose grass was so infested last growing season that it returned as a perennial and not from seed. I have sprayed illoxan @ the 1 oz rate and it didn't even sting it. I am looking for other suggestions to get rid if this issue. I have not tried revolver yet that will be next.

    Thanks for any input

    Fred,
not sure on your grass type, i have used revolver on tifdwarf with good results. i use 9oz./acre in spring (bi-weekly) and usually have it cleaned up with 2 apps. I have not used the 17oz rate yet though. also we have yellowed up by spot treating with 1/4 oz msma/m and hand cut out once highlighted! i am sure Andy will chime in too.
    good luck, it sucks.....

Andersons goose and crab control early spring when soil temps are in the mid to low 50's for a few days. Go with the split rate illustrated on the bag. Then you prob will have to come back with revolver at .6oz/m in mid June. Then again in July. Get it when it's young or you prob will not touch it. Also you could check with Andy Jorgenson, he prob has a different trick of the trade.

I've only used the Scotts/Andersons Goose/Crab Preventer once. Heard too many horror stories of guys burning up greens. But, have also heard probably more success stories as well.

We apply Illoxan at 1qt/acre...but since you said that didn't work....

    Revolver.

We usually spray around July 4th, and then follow up as needed. This is on TifDwarf greens in Central Florida. Also hand pulling, but sounds like the population may be too much for that.

Hate it for ya bud. I guess I've been lucky to be able to control it before it gets out of hand. But, listen to the guys that do the preventative route. It may be your best route, then follow-up with Revolver or Illoxan.

Anyone ever sprayed Illoxan on bentgrass greens? I have a few edges where goosegrass is coming in heavy and was wanting to maybe try a .5-1 oz/K rate and see what thatat does. SR1020 bent in Oklahoma with highs in the 100-110 range every day.
