   At Christmas my wife and I will be spending 10 days in the San Diego area.
   
   Plan on taking our clubs.

   I like to "judge" a course on how much fun I had playing them. Just outside of San Diego we played a track called Mt. Woodson and had a blast.

   Ditto for Mt. Woodson.
   Play Torrey Pines. Bump the ball in the rough if you want. It's pretty thick and long. Anytime you have the opportunity to play a US Open course is a bonus.
