A diver has approached me asking to dive for golf balls in our ponds. The Golf Pro doesn't want to deal with it. I've been at this private Club for 11 years and no one has ever removed golf balls from our ponds. What is the going price I should ask for? Thanks!

Fifteen years ago or so, we had a guy who would dive for balls every couple of months. The deal was he would come prepared with clean, ready-to-sell balls in a 1 to 4 ratio. In other words, if he pulled 2000 balls from our lakes he would go back to his van and give us 500 balls he brought with him that day that were ready-to-sell in our Pro Shop.

Our ball diving company pays us $4400 per year. We have 27 holes and do about 65,000 rounds per year. In the past 10 years we have had one diver drown and another was bit by an alligator. If we do not have a company come do it divers come on to the property and do it at night.
