Looking for feedback on effective height of cut difference between Toro Flex 18 and GM 1000. Our team is currently using .030 as the diff. Example a flex mower set at .090 = a GM 1000 at .125. Love to hear from you......thanks! :geek:

we have a .02 differential between our triplex and the flex we use for cleanups. We match up near perfect but that is just our setup. No info on the 1000's :(

Did you determine the .030/.035 difference via a prism gauge or something else?

If I remember correctly I think we used a difference of 30 thou. lower with the flex

    Chris,

It also depends on rollers used, On Seadwarf Paspalum, we use solid rollers and our difference is .015"
I would think each grass variety would be different, depending on individual management of their greens.
Excessive nitrogen rates would increase the difference versus lean nitrogen rates.

I have the Jacobsen 500A walkies (fixed head) and have them set at .125. I also have the flex 21 and they are set at .095. HOC is about the same. The Jac's might actually cut a little lower to be honest.
