Hello all. I was just wondering if anyone has used Embark in their roughs? If so what rates? We are in MI and in the Spring and during wet/cool summers, like last year, our roughs are hard to keep up with. I was looking to do 2 passes around each fairway. Thanks!

Jason- Here in CT I have only used embark on poa/bent fairways for seedhead control. Trial by error some of the drift/overspray did hit the rough and absolutely smoked my Kentucky Bluegrass rough. Have used primo in the rough at 12 oz/Ai and had varied results.

Jason, I have sprayed one pass around my fairways for a couple of years now. It does ding the bluegrass, but it will survive. The slowed growth is quite nice that time of year. When it comes out, it will be a deep emerald green. Will continue to use it. We use 8oz/acre around fairways and 16oz/acre on our range. Good luck!

As I believe it says on the label. Most of the ding in look will come with if there is a frost within the 2 weeks after application. I had sprayer where the middle boom would stick on occasionally and I had some visual damage in the roughs, but about a month later those areas were darker and fuller than the rest of the roughs.
