Funny you should bring this topic up. After months of looking at these *$&%^ piles we addressed the issue. I bought a couple of 48 oz hand held pump sprayers at ACE. We had 1 oz of scimitar, brush away the pile on the green and spray the mix into the hole. After a couple of rounds walking the greens each day we have greatly reduced the issue. We started with about 5 - 10 piles on the worst greens. We know are down to seeing one pile every few days.

We use a small 48 oz hand pump sprayer from ACE. Add 1 oz of Scimitar. Brush the sand pile and squirt the scimitar right into the hole. We used to have 4 - 6 piles per green or less. After two rounds on the greens we have about 4 - 6 piles per 18 holes.

I thought i was going crazy . Seeing mounds on the green thinking it was earth worms. But one early dark morn I seen these fork tail devils crawling all over the green , We have problems with these bugs in our irrigation controller boxes .Use scimitar in spring to help ants move on but might have to do a second treatment for earwigs. Gents thak you so much, these little $#%^& have been enjoying themselves a little too much on our #15 green. They are not effected by Lorsban or Acelipren.

    Cheers
