Anyone use the ez flow gravel free drainage system for bunkers. Time they have been in the ground and what you think about the installation and use of the product compared to old style drainage products.

I am interested to hear the opinions of those who have used this product.

I have never used the EZ Flow tile but, as I recall, it is very-very expensive. At least it was from this one particular supplier. EZ Flow advertises a substantial labor savings but I'm not convinced there is a labor savings. The trench for the EZ Flow has to be about double the width of standard tile which creates additional labor. Plus the added expense of disposing of the additional soil if you do not have an onsite dump. Yes there is labor savings by eliminating the installation of the gravel but it seems the wider trench and lack of gravel would offset each other in terms of labor costs. Add in the additional expense of the EZ Flow tile compared to traditional tile and it seems the net costs would be more expensive with the EZ Flow system. This is just my thought sitting here at my desk. Maybe others have a different experience. Would like to hear...

I looked into the product a few years back for a fairway drainage project. It's about $4.00/ft for the product itself. The cost of the project was the same compared to typical pipe and rock installation. In our case, we were using a mini-excavator with a 12" bucket dumping straight into a dump trailer, so there was no additional installation methods that needed to be performed. We decided not to use it though for this particular project because the low end of our drain pipe would still have about 24" of soil on top of the pipe. We wanted rock to the surface of the trench.
