I want to try and dry a couple yards of sand in a small space. The space I have is limited and the sand will be in a small pile inside our maintenance building. I have only thought of two options. Dry a little at a time and slowly stock pile it up or just keep turning the pile over with our loader a few times a day until dry. Does anyone have any other ideas or experience you would like to share?

We dry a little at a time on clean asphalt between maintenance buidlings then stockpile it on a tarp inside. Usually can get 3 yards in 3 hours with one guy doing the work.

Used to keep a few garbage cans inside the shop full of sand at all times to dry. While using the one, the other is drying. Depending on how much you use, a 30-gallon trash can can supply you consistent dry sand.

I've had good luck with a pile of a couple of yards on a concrete floor in a maintenance barn with a fan blowing on it. I have a worker turn the pile over once a day, and in about 3 -4 days the sand is ready to be used. It is not immediately ready but the system works pretty well if you are in a situation to prepare in advance.
