We want to improve our artifical matting on the Driving Range. We want the type where the golfer can input a wooden tee, no fixed tee, continous mat and no sectionals. Our area is 6ft. X 140ft. Our current mats are sectionals with concrete pads under them. Our plan is to connect the concrete and install the mat on top. What products or companies do you recommend?

We used Turfhound mats and our members love them.

I am looking to present the idea to the owners of our facility and our General Manager the need for installing mats on our driving range. Currently we have 5 middle/high school teams and 1 college team that practices at our course. This coupled with our member and public play has given our driving range tee quite a beating. I want to install mats and have all hitting on the range Monday-Thursday being on the mats, and the high school and middle school teams always on mats. What I'm asking is any advice, recommendations, or helpful tips as far as which products are the best to use and what the average cost is for the installation of the mats. Any advice would be appreciated as I have not ever went through the process of installing mats. Thanks in advance.

We installed the Fiberbuilt Continuous Tee Line http://www.fiberbuilt.com/golf/tee-line/ mats a few years ago on one of our ranges. They are awesome and far exceeded expectations. We paid roughly $1,600/station plus the concrete they sit on. I like them because if they ever get damaged, we only replace the one section, not the entire strip.

I will second the Fiberbuilt Mats. We used them in South Florida, never brought them in and they lasted for years. Some people just have an attitude about them but we had a couple older expert players who preferred them for practice because they were not hard on the arms and back.
