Does anyone have any experience using a drill seeder for overseeding?

If so, what success rate on fairways and tees only?

How many acres an hour can a machine do?

I figure less exposed seed on the surface of the soil, less prep time and water savings?

We've used them for interseeding Bahia into Bermudagrass. Works much better than just spreading over the top. Only downside I found was the seed came up in lines. Ours was about a 2" spacing, but I'm sure you can find one with a closer spacing.

I remember years ago Anthony Williams at Stone Mountain Golf Club in Georgia used to use a drill on his fairways when overseeding rye into Bermuda. Maybe give him a call.

    Martin,

Let me know if you find one that is 1" or less. I've been looking with no luck yet.
