Has anyone had a chance to use this product yet?

I am curious as to what people will mix with it. I wonder if it will be as versatile as Daconil Ultrex that I pretty much mix with everything I use. I did see something about being careful mixing with Signature "can result in physical antagonism if not mixed properly" wonder what they mean by that?

Price is great so I'm just trying to get some answers before early order runs out.
I have it at (If my math is correct) $46.43 per acre at the 2 oz/1000 rate and $57.63 at the 2.5 oz/1000 rate where Daconil Ultrex at the 5 lb./acre rate is $77.50 per acre.

Hmmm, might warrant a trip to the GIS, wonder if I can find about $1,200 in cost savings?

    Thanks! Mel

I used Daconil Action for the first time about 3 weeks ago. It has been unseasonably warm on the Delmarva Peninsula and dollarspot has been very stubborn and has been hanging on forever. I sprayed Action at the 3 oz rate. The dollarspot was totally controlled and the greens on both golf courses responded with a unusually good color response. Very impressed with my initial application of this product.

Thanks Mike for the info, I've used a couple applications so far this season of Ultrex and had Primo w/ CPR mixed in. Had just a couple of dollar spot scars and totally taken care of with Ultrex.

Now that the season has really begun, I'm just wondering if anyone has had any tank mix issues with Daconil Action? Specifically CPR or Gary's Green and Sili-Kal-B either with Primo in the tank.

    Thanks, Mel

I sprayed 3oz. Daconil Action with Redox Micro+ and 11 oz./A of paclobutrozol on Monday with no problems thus far. Turf seems greener than normal with as much growth regulator that I have on my penncross.

Sprayed it twice now-both times with full Floratine package and Signature. No issues

Looking for some advice for Tank Mixes with Daconil Action. I just picked some up for the first time. With Ultrex, I would have sprayed in the summer with Signature, Medallion and Primo. Not sure if there are any tank mix issues with the new product.

    Thanks in advance

    Mike,

The only thing I have sprayed so far with my Daconil Action is Primo and CPR. Sprayed it this morning, and have been on a Primo application every 7 days this summer because of the 200 growing degree day program I'm on.

I use Daconil Action at 2 oz./1000 and CPR at 3 oz/1000 with Primo at 3 oz/acre. On my opposite weeks, I either use Signature with Daconil Ultrex (11 lb. acre and 5 lb. acre) with Primo and Gary's Green and Sili-Kal-B at 3.7 oz./acre (2.5 gallons on my two acres.) My other application this summer has been Twosome at 2.9 oz/1000 (1 gallon per acre), although I did cut it the Twosome and Griggs brother products in half last week, figured with a 7 day spray schedule I didn't need that much fungicide, and a didn't need the extra nutrients with it being so hot. Made it through the week just fine. Use Emerald and Touche' in spring and fall.

I was concerned about mixing it in place of Ultrex in other tank mixes like Signature,Gary's Green and Sili-Kal-B with Primo, so I stick with the Ultrex that tank mix.

Has anyone heard of, or experienced any negatives effects from using Daconil Action? I have been told from a few people that they have seen some phytoxicity issues on poa that they believe is a result of the Action portion. I have personally not seen any and spray quite a bit throughout the season. Thanks for any input.

I used it a couple summers ago. Had a little bit of anthracnose at the time of application and it almost seemed to antagonize it. Two separate occasions this happened and I had to go back out with something else within a week. Last time I used it.

We use this product quite a bit for its 2EE label for Bermuda decline/take-all on UD greens in Arizona. I have always believed the greens look worse the following 48 hours after an application, then rebound to look much better than the day of the application. However, I believe this was the case on every formulation of Chlrothalonil I've ever used. This was even the case on bentgrass/poa both here in Arizona, and in Pennsylvania.

We have used it for several seasons and have seen no phyto issues. We have such a limited amount of poa that if it did die from Action that would be a bonus.

Action has worked well at 2 oz/m mixed with propiconizol at .5 oz/m. This is confirmed with untreated check areas that get hammered with dollar spot and the treated areas remaining clean. With action the propiconizol rate is half what we use with other chlorthalonil formulations. Anytime we can reduce active ingredient rates it is a good thing.

Been using it for 3 straight seasons, almost weekly and have never had a problem.
