We have newly grown in bentgrass greens (roots 6-7" long) on a course in northwest OK and want to do everything to limit poa incursion. We are considering using Cutless as the growth regulator but don't know too many people who have used the product exclusively (not mixed with primmo) on greens. Any positive or negative experiences would be appreciated.

I used it and loved it at my last golf course. It can beat up your collars and or surrounds depending on what you are growing? I would have to dig up some old records to let you know what rates I was at.............

Switched from Paclobutrazol several years ago. Both would be a good option stand alone or with Primo at times of high stress. Feel free to contact me if you need more info on rates and timings.

I switched a year ago to cutless and love it. We typically spray 8oz/A during spring and fall and spray 4oz/A during the summer months.

    Chris,

Regrassed our greens in fall of 2011, last year was the first season with them (A1/A4). Mid June last year we began using PGR's on them to help slow top growth, lot of built up fert and lots of growth. Nothing was really to prevent Poa, is there such a thing. Our method to prevent or control any Poa that showed up was to remove manually by plugging it out or cutting it out with a knife. This fall we did apply Bensumec, labeled as a preemergent for Poa. Last season we were using Cutless/Primo applications and going basically 6oz each per acre. Started using Cutless as found it was easier on the bluegrass surrounds. This year I have gone back to Trimmit as we purchased a GPS sprayer that helps eliminate the overspray and I feel the Paclo does a bit more on the Poa, going at 8oz/Acre currently and seeing good success.

    Justin
