Just at University of Missouri field day last week, they had trials on controlling crabgrass. Split apps of dimension were the cleanest out of products already available.

We do the same thing on our greens, split application of Anderson's 0-0-20 w/.164% dithiopyr at the 3.5 lb. product/1000 sq. ft. We go one month between apps.

I know some other guys around here will us an Anderson's 10-3-10 w/.103% dithiopyr and do 3 applications 2 weeks apart.

The other trial that looked good was the old Scotts, (Anderson's) Goose/Crab control. Most guys down here don't like to use it in the transition zone just encase they have a bad application and overlap too much. I did use it successfully in New Jersey on one green that would just load up with goosegrass.

I'm not sure if Dimension is available anymore up here. If it is, it would be your best bet. I've seen Acclaim used in half doses a week or two apart, if the plants are not too mature. Global warming may be a myth, but crab is certainly moving north. I've seen it just about everywhere to some extent this year. At least its green unlike the cool season turf

buy a sharp knife, or use acclaim if it is available 3-6oz/acre

I too have crab and goose on greens. I didnt put any preemerge out(last year for that). I have been picking it out with a screw driver and fingers.
I dont trust putting any herbicides on greens during this heat and drought. Its hard enough to keep things alive and then put Acclaim on them. not me.
However I have used Acclaim on tees and approaches. The preemerge I put down in the spring has done an ok job. The acclaim has done great on crab but not so good on goose. So i went out and sprayed the goose with Tenacity...Works awesome!!! turns it white in less than 48hrs.

I think the best thing for goose or crab on greens...Apply a preemerge in the spring.

I'm here in the panhandle of Tx......I have Seaside Bent on my back-9...Clay soil....I'm on my 3rd year here..When I first got here My #10 green was 75%+ Crabgrass....Been using "Anderson's Goose and Crab" but I believe it works better for Goosegrass. This year I had a hernia fixed, so I was out a week. Came back and looked at my back 9 greens and I was already seeing breakthrough.....Had quite a bit of spring rain. I had the "Anderson's 9-0-18 w/.164% dithiopyr" on hand. I applied it on June 6th @ the .25lbs/acre rate to all the back 9 greens. The next week I applied "Quinclorac" @.18oz's/1000sq.ft=about 8oz's/acre.....no mentholated seed oil with it. At this time I'm 100% crabgrass free. My front 9 greens are Penncross sand greens and I didn't see the early breakthrough like I did on the back..."Anderson's" is only labeled for Certain varieties of bent. It did state on the label, that it could be injurious to both the Seaside variety of bent and also to Poa Annua. The Quinclorac is not labeled for bentgrass greens either. Neither products injured my turf at all. I will stick with Dithiopyr as a pre and post program from here on out. I also used flooding nozzel's with the Quinclorac application. I was informed that it will hit more of the leaf surface, as opposed to fan nozzel's. I just wanted to cover the leaf and not get deep into the canopy.
I had to do something and It Worked.
    Good Luck!

Bensamec two split apps in the spring work great in New Jersey. Last year only did one and it failed. This year two split apps and not 1 plant!
The crab pressure this year is the highest I have seen in my 30 years.
