Looking to purchase a core collector for a Toro 648, I see several advertised, is there a collector that is better than the others? David Wood

Turf Pride Core Collector. We have had one for about 5 years that we use on a Verti-Drain. It works very well and has saved us countless hours of labor.

I agree with Scott, we have two turf pride core collectors and save huge amounts of labor, not pushing as much, just picking up piles

Turf Pride core collector. I was sceptical about the claim that you can topdress first, then aerate with the core collector attached. To my surprise it works very well. I never felt the need to try any other brand collector.

We have a Turf Pride core collector as well. Works so good, that when it is suggested to get one of the sweepers, I try to argue against it (mainly because of the cost of one, we need other equipment a lot worse then this piece). While a sweeper only takes one person to pick up cores, we still need another person to blow greens off anyway.

While I did have a sweeper at a previous course, and it was great, especially with our small crew, the return on investment isn't as great as the Turf Pride core collector in my opinion. I wasn't able to really sell the cost of it, in savings, (the savings in labor would have taken 10 years to recoup), we were only able to get it when I suggested we could use it on campus as well. We found out later it didn't work up there as we thought it would, but still came in handy on athletic fields and the course.
