Been having an issue with my nozzles clogging and losing pressure due to my filter clogging as well from flakes in my tank. I have ran tank cleaner through it multiple times and power washed the inside of the tank as well. Replaced almost everything on the unit other than the tank itself and still having an issue with flakes finding there way into the nozzles. Anyone know of better way to clean out the tank?

    Thank you,

    Blaine Beebe

After you clean your tank, install one of these:
    http://www.teejet.com/english/home/prod ... iners.aspx

It is a self cleaning filter. All sprayers should come with these, after I installed one, I have never clogged up a strainer or a tip since.

    Regards,

    Steve

Steve, you should stress that it is important to make sure the flow goes in the direction of the very obvious arrows embossed on the strainer assembly

Yeah, it does work better when the arrows that the manufacturer so generously prints on it are actually pointing in the right direction. Thanks for outing me, Lar.

Blaine, if installed correctly and your lines from the filter point are clean, you will never again have a clogged nozzle. Like Steve says, they should be mandatory on any production sprayer. Anyone who doesn't have one should by one.

Does this strainer replace the strainer that is currently on the sprayer or is in addition to? Thanks for the great idea.

it is in addition to all other strainers but it cleans the lines just before they enter the flow sensor or solenoid valves. It dumps a small amount of mix back into the tank and that mix carries any debris with it into the tank . The screen is self cleaning.

Both my John Deere sprayers came with a Hypro version. Didn't know that until I investigated to put your TeeJet model on. Guess that's why they've never clogged, and reinforces my decision to ditch the Toro and go green.

How did you plumb the filter into the 1250? I'm looking to get the same one, but i'm wondering how exactly it should be installed.
