    Hello all,
Wasn't sure where to post this question, so I'm putting it here.

I have a winding path, that come down a hill, through the woods to my 14th green. A couple of weeks ago, in the rain, we had a cart skid, catch a tire off the path and flip, injuring the driver.
I have since closed the path, trying to come up with options. We have raised limbs around the path to try to create more airflow. There does not appear to be any algae or moss on the path.
I spoke with a paving company today about possibly grinding some grooves into it, but he thought that might to more damage. He also suggested a slip proof paint and/or possibly speed bumps on the path.
He also mention that there are courses using a "rubberized" coating.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

    Thanks, in advance

Just played a course last week that installed speed bumps made of angle iron. Seemed to do the trick for them.

Not familiar with the Club Car controller, but I know with the EZGO TXT PDS system you can adjust the controller with a hand held for a "mountain" setting which causes the cart to slow down when going down hill. maybe something to ask your dealer about.

I know one course that has mounds of sand along especially steep sections that can kinda "catch" the carts similar to runaway escape area. I've also seen speed bumps work and grooved cart paths.

Michael, We rented a groove producing grinder type machine and we did 6 or 8 areas of buggy paths for traction. It worked well. It was about 15 inches wide and the operator would make grooves perpendicular to direction of traffic ( for the most part ). I will ask what they call it in Spanish and post it.

    Michael,

It had 2 heavy duty metal wheels and maybe 20 diamond like wheels that ground up the concrete.
