Does anyone have experience controlling Birdseye Pearlwort in Bentgrass greens in the northeast?? I have been told Quicksilver works on it but Pearlwort is not listed on the label. Rubigan and MCPP are also supposed to work. What is the best way to spray, spot or just do the whole green with it?? There is also a product called "Celcius" but that is labeled only for warm-season turf. I don't want to just "plug" it out either because then I will be spreading it to other areas. Any input greatly appreciated.

There is an old Scotts product, now Andersons, called KOG. Catchy name, Knotweed, Oxalis, and GroundIvy I think. AI is dicamba. You can sprinkle it on patches of weeds on the green. Always was a great way to get rid of small patches of broadleaves like mouse ear chickweed, etc. You can make up a couple of shaker cans out of glass jars and give it to your set up guys. It's just too hot to spray those nice greens with herbicide. Wait till the fall. Kenneth Ingram, UMD.

We dealt with some pearlwort on a few green here in the Chicago area by just plugging it out and putting in nice plugs from edge of our chipping green. It has been a cool summer here so far but 90's a coming soon. Oh its bent/poa here.

Used many pallets of KOG over the years. Great product that does not damage non target areas. Spot treat as Ken suggested for small areas.

Kenneth, So even though Pearlwort is not specifically mentioned on the K.O.G. label, you have used it and had success with it on greens??
