We aerify with Toro Procore 648's............have never used the bayonet tines and want to for the first time this season. We have both set of tine holders and looking for recommendations on which size (s) to try. This will be on Tifeagle greens. Looking in the various tine catalogs there appear to be many options. All help appreciated. Thanks.

Just finished venting greens with bayonets yesterday. I use JRM tines that fit in the quad block (10 tine holders) and I try to space them evenly front and back. Typically I use the alternating 3 holes in the back and the middle two in the front. In the 3 spacing, it gives a pretty good 1.75" or so pattern, and is very fast. Roll behind.

The JRM tines are 1/8th inch wide and 5/8" deep and approximatly 5.5" long. We bury them into the surface as deep as we can go. Very minimal disruption, and I try to lightly topdress soon after the process. Invaluable for preventing LDS and encourages good root formation.

I use the Toro Titan tines and have no problems with them. This will be my second year venting montly on the same set. I'll probably replace them next year. I'd take a hard look at the JRM and Phoenix tines. Next year I may put on a mix of all and see which goes the longest

The JRM Infinity Bayonets, while expensive, are worth every penny to me. I use the 3/4" mount version on my pro-cores (2) and get through 3 acres of greens at least twice on one set.
