dunno about on bent, but on paspalum i go with as high as...

    7oz./1000 on the Magnesium Sulfate
    3oz./1000 on the manganese sulfate
    5oz./1000 on ferrous sulfate

These rates I play with constantly, but its what I went out with last week with. Also these are liquid chelates...ive done wp ferrous but i dont remember the rate i went with that.

Ya, it was the old raw product I was looking at.
Octogenarians like Tom Brown, Ron Kirkman, Bruce William and Sandy Clarke, may remember a time before chelation....than again they may not.

    Thank you anyway

I have used this on Bermudagrass greens.

    1. Iron sulfate: 4-7 #/A
    2. Techmangum: half of Iron sulfate rate 2-3.5 #/A
    3. Magnesium sulfate: 5 #/A

    Hey Larry,

The Ferrous sulfate you would have to build up your rate over time. I started a 4oz and am now up to 9oz. The off color issues at high rates were never major issues, the darkening was usually removed with mowing. That's the only one of those products I'd be wary of.

Larry, I can only speak for the magnesium sulfate and the iron sulfate, but what I've done for the past 50 yrs. or so is let about 10lbs. of rusty 16 penny nails and 4 boxes of wooden matches sit in a 5 gal. bucket of water overnight and prior to adding the liquid (only) to the tank, I pray over it (app. 30 seconds) and it provides the grass exactly what it needs. Works every time. If you want to try it, give me a call when you're ready to pour and let me do the praying for obvious reasons!

Hey Tom, You know if you took that concoction to Britain, threw in a bit of malt, put it in a old bourbon keg and aged it for 15 years, minus the prayer, I think you would have some pretty decent Scotch.
