   Anyone using Alpha Bentgrass on greens? Can you tell me the pros and cons? I'm located in Michigan.

   The background info got cutoff, sorry. 50 year old greens. 80% Penncross on most. G2 one 1 and Princeville on the other. Looking to interseed possibly.

   I believe Dave Ward has Alpha on his greens at Coyote Run GC in Homewood, IL. Dave's a great person and I'm sure he would be more than happy to discuss the pros and cons. Dave can grow grass on concrete so I'm sure his greens are performing impeccably.

   While I've never maintained a newly seeded Alpha putting green I have been using it for interseeding at aeration and love it's competitive habits. I've seen great success while mowing at .100" with solid rollers... very aggressive in that practice.
   
   I also 100% agree with comments about Dave Ward, the course is Coyote Run.
