I am looking for a way to eradicate algae on overseeded tifdwarf bermuda grass greens. The green have extremely poor drainage and some shade issues. I am needle tining, topdressing, reducing irrigation, and have applied Daconil. Hoping to reduce the algae as much as possible and then reseed some areas with poa overseed. Zero-Tol @ 12-25 fl. oz./1000 sq. ft. in 5-10 gal. H2O per 1000 sq. ft. Drench affected areas.

    Turfscreen works wonders on algae.

I agree with Keith. Turfscreen will wipe it out in about two applications.

This company has a lot of inexpensive stuff that just works. For algae the SA 20 is very effective. I think the "Soil Wetting Agent" is the old Aquagro. I never found anything that was more dependable on LDS than that.

I was told by a turf pathologist that regular Chlorothalonil is pointless. The zinc/chlorothalonil combo's are much more effective.
