We are planning on replacing this season either our old Toro Aerator (the model before the Pro Core 648) Or our 3 Point hitch Verti-drain (I don't remember the current model number).

I haven't seen the demo yet, but one of my colleagues did see a Wiedemann 3 pt. and said it was fast and still had good spacing. I'm wondering is it as fast at the Pro Core 648?

So the question is, what aerator do you prefer?

One other note, we do share this equipment between our three courses.

    Thanks!

Personally I love the Procore 648. It's been my favorite since I watched a guy aerate an asphalt cart path accidentally and it did no noticeable damage other than filling the tines with impenetrable asphalt plugs. We replaced the bad tines and continued aerating without any issue. I wouldn't recommend trying this but it sure was a good selling point for me.

I have a Procore 648 and a Weidenmann XF6 three point hitch. They are both great, but accomplish different goals. The XF6 can double as a fairway aerifier or deep tine greens comfortably, but it is heavy-you need to make sure you have a tractor that is appropriate. It is pretty fast for what it is...but for standard coring, I haven't seen anything better than the Procore.

The Procore 648 is the best. Its a beast and certainly does the job faster than two standard Toro aerifiers. With the versatility in tines and tine holders you can do a lot. I like the guy who aerified cart path by the way. I was afraid of its maneuverability being so long around tight bunkers and slopes but this machine loves to work and becomes like one with operator. Quickly moves forward to reverse with no grinding and down throttle. 3wheel drive also is a dream. Almost make aerification fun.

We have 648s and 864s that have been used on multiple courses, multiple times per year. Lots of tine time. They are, hands down, the best aerifiers we've had in our fleet.
