In an effort to reduce our topdressing costs and the fact that we have really great native soil I am considering verticutting plugs this year. What I am wondering is 1) what height do you set the verticutting units? and 2) in what order do you complete each green. I am thinking mow, roll, topdress, aerate, verticut, drag, blow off, roll. Any thoughts?

You might consider dragging first, when dry, then verticut. My past experience is that on larger plugs, the verticutter acts as a bulldozer and will almost push the plugs off the green. I've always dragged first to bust them up, then verticut what is left.
