We have been correcting some severely sunken irrigation heads this past week, and one of the next things we plan to do is start edging heads for our spring play season, and while doing that, level any heads that need to be raised or lowered. The lowered ones should be easy, anything the fairway mower might damage, and since the guys that are doing the project mow fairways, and have to fix any heads they damage......but what is acceptable measurement for sunken heads, I will see one that might be a 1/2 to 1 maybe and say that would be ok...where do we decide to mess with one? I know part of the issue would be type of heads and how high the internals will raise, we have Rain Bird 51's mainly with just a few 900's. Just wanting to get an idea what you guys are doing.
Thanks, Mel
