We have a real need for wetting agents but the turf and ornamental products are 3 times as expensive as the AG products for whatever reason...
We have been using "Humus" and "Structure" from "Actigrow" along with Nsure in our greens program for several years now with phenomenal results. They contain humic and fulvic acids and some minors. These are all AG grade products and inexpensive compared to all the other spoon feed programs we have tried including Griggs and Floratine. Question is what are farmers using for wetting agent? Has anyone tried thiocal on a regular basis to bump sodium and help things move? Revolution and Pervade etc are great products but I don't imagine farmers pay the price for this type of product. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated...

There are plenty of products out there that are basically the same thing you would put on your course. Try to find a company that is invloved in both ag and turf sales and sit him down and tell him what you want. The guys from Agrium and Helena (just to name a couple) have been helpful for me. Also, I'll post a link to a website for a group out of North Texas that does primarily turf and has their own line of proprietary products. In my experience with these products I have never been disappointed.

Make sure those products are labelled for golf course turf in your state. I know the state of Maryland checks. You could find yourself in a heap of trouble. Kenneth Ingram, UMD.

Someone emailed regarding Actagro products but did not leave a return email. Here is a link to their website for anyone interested. http://actagro.com/

We have used ABSA-80 this season. It works well, but not as well as say Revolution on greens. We will use it on fairways next year because it does work, and it is very cheap.

I realize this was from quite a while ago but I I have some APSA 80 that's been in my shed since before I started on this golf course. The problem I have is I have no idea how long it lasts. Any info you have for me would be great.

There is a company that makes Hydrate Plus NF (non foaming) that has a wetting agent that works well. The website is www.texasrefinery.com. I use the product on greens and it seems to work well on my native pushup greens with a 4-6" sand top.
