   This week starts off with a great game or it has the potential to be one with Oregon playing Arizona State.
   
   Oregon vs ASU +9.5........big spread to cover on the road....Ducks have played 5 homers and one at WSU that may as well have been a home game.......the stats favor the Ducks but take the points on the road in a packed stadium full of crazy fans
   
   Alabama vs Tennesssee + 20.5..........big rival game on the road and lots of points to cover........Tide has won 5 in a row and think they will make it 6 with the points.........sorry Gus just my gut so it may help the Vols
   
   S. Carolina vs Florida -3.......another tough road game for the Gamecocks.....coming off a tough loss and a very physical game in Tiger Stadium (most watched ESPN game of the year so far).......third top 10 opponent as well..the smart guys like USC.......i like the Gators
   
   KSU vs WVU +2.5........huge Big 12 game and the winner might be in the hunt late in the season....will Geno bouce back......i think yes........battle of the QB's........on the road, hostile territory.......I like the home team
   
   BYU vs Notre Dame - 13.5......eveything says the Fighting Irish.......ranked, at home, on roll......I like the points in a closer game than many think
   
   LSU vs Texas A&M +3.5........not sure how we keep being the favorite over ranked teams and on the road too....we showed some offense last week but not sure if its enough to keep up with the Aggies the highest scoring team in the country.........a shootout last week with 59 points........if we give up 30 we are toast.....Johnny "Football" Manziel is the real deal.....a future Heisman winner I think.....take the points
   
   Purdue vs OSU - 19..........Purdon't is like Kentucky of the SEC and Kansas of athe Big 12......going the wrong way fast..........Buckeyes
   
   Utah vs Oregon STate -10.5............new QB had a great first game can he do it again........close game
   
   Kansas vs OU - 35.........7 in a row for the Sooners vs the Jayhawks.......chalk up one more
   
   Colorado vs USC - 40.........a stat game for the Trojans and Barkley.......shlould be a rout
   
   Georgia vs Kentucky..........see Kansas vs OU
   
   VaTech vs Clemson - 8.5.......could be a super game,,,,,,,lots of points to give the Hokies...take the points
   
   Texas Tech vs TCU +2.5.........will the Raiders be down after the big upset win and on the road to boot....points
   
   Stanford vs Cal +2.5.......think this is an easy one for Stanford but a huge rivilary so you never know
   
   MSU vs Michigan -10.......another big in state rival game......neither playing as well as I first thought early this season.......got burned by both teams........i'll merely watch it and let you State guys bet it.....Big Blue

   What no Florida State vs. Miami pick? Has the Canes fallen that far?
   
   I heard Lattimore might be out of the Gator game, still hoping Gamecocks knock of Florida, can't trust Georgia to do it, although...if Gators stay unbeaten until that trip to Tallahassee in November, might be better for us. Rooting for West Va. now that they've lost a game. That is how the rest of the season goes, all unbeaten teams lose and all one loss teams get beat again, well except for one team. It could be like that year Tenn won the National Championship with Tee Martian completing two passes against Florida State, too bad they were TD's. I remember that year every team that needed to lose and let Florida State in the title game lost.
   
   More importantly this weekend going to the Edward Jones dome. Fear the Poo! Kickapoo Golden Arrow Band should find themselves in the finals Saturday night and hopefully in the top 10. With a little luck I think a top 5 finish might be possible, Broken Arrow, Marion Catholic, and George Mason out of Ohio will not be there, and we lost to a top 6 band from last year Blue Springs earlier this season by .05 and a top three band Owasso by 2 points this last weekend.

   Things are heating up. Lots of great matchups this weekend. I plan to be like the old dude on the 'hopper' commercial glued to the couch with my fish net demanding my "meatloaf... and some beers!"
   
   I like VaTech over Clemson and Cal over Stanford. We will learn a great deal about both teams in the Oregon ASU game. Thank you for not giving my Vols a chance. It's the 3rd Saturday in October, that means UT v. Bama. It's still the biggest game for us, not so much for them. Who knows?

   Thank you Mel for reminding me of the good ole days. Back when we won a national championship and could expect 10 wins a year. Of course all that was when we had our hall of fame coach that the overly entitled orangenecks up and fired.
   
   Could there possibly be two Kickapoo's? In her final years my Grandma moved from Newkirk OK down to live with my Aunt just outside OKC in an area called Kickapoo. Always thought that was hilarious. I guess I'm like the cheese, not yet fully matured.

   Mel very sorry for the oversight.........had mowed fairways this am and was in a rush......been a very busy week with a trip to Houston stuck in the middle.........I like the Canes to cover..........not to win....and the only reason is they are at home.....but the Noles could cover....jsut dont bet on it.
   
   Yea Gus gave a Vols a boost by picking the Tide.............but I am still hot in my picks......went 9 of 10 last weekend following the 10 of 11 the week before........my consultant is not a happy camper at the moment. I told him yesterday just be glad I'm betting dollars and not dimes then you'd have lots of reason to complain.
   
   Yes this is a good weekend for football like last weekend was..........from here on out they all mean something. If the Gators win Saturday I like their chances Mel........even against your Noles.
   
   Just very happy I just watch the pros and not wager on them as they are impossible to pick...there are no sure wins.

   Wow missed the Oregon / ASU game last night. If the Sun Devils have the #1 defense in the Pac 12 that is why its tough for the Pac 12 to win a national championship game against a team that does play D. 43 unanswered points by the Ducks........pitiful Arizona State......so much for the Todd Graham revival in the desert.

   Yes, sparky was awful last night. Turned it off early in the second quarter and surprised this morning to see Oregon only scored 43 total. They had most of that after about 20 minutes.
   
   On the bright side for ASU that was one of the best looking natural fields I've seen all year. Hat's off to the crew.

   Gus, there could be two Kickapoo's, actually I think I've seen a Kickapoo high school in Minn. Really happy we moved into the Kickapoo district when we first moved here, funny when the boy is in first grade, we never think about band, sports etc, my wife was checking out test scores and in our part of the district from elementaries up to the high school this area of town was the best. Having the best band program in town and our son in it, plus since we are the Chiefs, we do the tomahawk chop, have the spear on our helmet, (don't tell FSU) that's all a bonus.
