One good thing about the Chargers total flop this year will be the release of Norv Turner. If you look at his record since taking over from Marty, it has been an increase of losses and a decrease in victories every year. Hopefully, AJ Smith the GM will also be given his walking papers. He is the boss who is responsible for bringing in players, so he has to be personally responsible for an offensive line that can't run or pass block. We have been suspect at corner back and line backers as well. It has been a recipe for failure and that failure has fully been exposed this season. Norv can go back to being an offensive coordinator somewhere. Bring in Cowher or find someone with his smash mouth mentality. Our team shows no emotion beyond whining. My personal protest will be to not watch another Charger game until the two leading failures are gone!

And to think just a couple years ago lots of people thought they had what it took to win the Super Bowl. Most interesting thing I heard about Cowher is going to the Giants when Coughlin gets turfed. Could be another year with lots of turnover with the Chargers, Giants, Jaguars, Rams, Chiefs, Redskins, and even Eagles maybe looking, although I would grab Andy Reid as soon as he became available.

You hit the nail on the head DMAC. I have seen this all before with the Rams just before they left. Take a great team, throw it away, put a lousy product on the field. Blame dwindling attendance on fickle fans and a poor facility that won't allow them to generate the kind of revenue they need to be competitive. Put the city and fans through the ringer, forcing them into plan after plan to save the team, blame them when a deal doesn't get done and then leave. Norv and AJ are just doing what they're told to do.

Most on this forum are too young to remember but the Chargers originated in LA in the old American Football League. I clearly remember when they came to San Diego. Paul Lowe, Keith Lincoln, Jack Kemp and a number of other big name players were on that original team. Come to think of it , it was shortly after they arrived in San Diego when they beat the Boston Patriots for the American Football League title. Other than division champions, that is the only title the Chargers have ever won. Yes, we have suffered for many a year. Have to go now since we are about to become grand parents for the fourth time! My youngest son and his wife will be having a little girl named Addison later today. He just took her to the hospital. I will give an update tomorrow.

My sister and bro in law have season tickets to the Chargers. I occasionally get out there during football season. I prefer San Diego to LA , Sean..........just being selfish.
