Well, it will finally come to an end soon. I wonder how low of a success rate Mel Kiper will have this year? I rarely remember him being correct and then he spends the next several minutes justifying his position and arguing about how stupid the team was to have not followed his picks. Thank goodness that guy only comes out of his hole for the draft and a couple of weeks before. Does anyone else find him annoying? I only watch a few minutes of the draft each year and he still drives me crazy!

It is fun watching him and McShay argue. You'd have to admit that.

Yes this evening and some of Friday will fun watching..........after that it gets boring real quick. I do hate to see some of those guys that the "experts" predicted to be early draftees sit and sweat in the green room. though in the end they still end up rich, just maybe not AS rich. My Tigers should have 2 first rounders and one going very early (he hopes anyway)........Bama will have a bunch as well.

Sandy I wonder what future bust at DE/OLB our Chargers will draft this year in the 1st round. Seems like that's all they've drafted lately and none have lived up to first round expectations.

AJ Smith will make a pick somewhere in the draft where everyone will scratch their heads and ask out loud, what in the world was that pick all about! He has had a high success rate at picking guys that are always injured or just can't play at the pro level. He can't possibly do any worse than he has over the last four years.

Oh don't forget the Buffalo Bills. They make most of their picks as an opening to many punchlines.

So, I'm watching the draft - for no other reason than it's a topic here - and they're at #29.

Why is it that for every single player drafted they give height and weight on the little ticker tape, and the Wide Receiver kid is 6' 2-7/8" and 209 lbs, or a lineman is 6' 4-3/8" and 315 lbs?

Does it matter that he's 1/8" under 6' 3", or 3/8" above 6' 4"? How come they don't tell us that hes really 208-7/10
lbs or 315-1/3 lbs. We need to know that.

Harrison Smith from Notre Dame was just drafted. He's 6' 1-7/8" and 213 lbs. If he was only 6' 1-1/2" he would have dropped at least one spot in the draft, I'm sure.

    I'm turning the channel now.

You lasted longer than me Pete..........I said no mas at round 22 when the kid from Iowa went off the board to the Lions. Maybe tonight for a bit to see if Rueben Randle of LSU goes in round two. If not I will read about him in the paper on Sunday.

David, I hope the corner my Cowboys picked up from your Tigers is smarter than his Wonderlick score.

I guess the Charges did pretty good with the pick of a DE / LB from South Carolina. Several more rounds to go for AJ Smith to screw up on picks. I turned it on around the 24th pick. Kiper seemed rather subdued. Of the Mel's best picks, I didn't see to many come up during the brief time I watched! Even Kiper was going to get the first 3 or 4 correct but I bet he began missing after that.

Maximus........the kid can play....better tech skills at corner than Patrick Peterson...........just not in the same league on returning the football

I am surprised. On paper, the Chargers made no stupid picks. We shall see if the great coach Norv Turner can now make these pieces fit. Somehow, I still think Norv and AJ Smith will be making excuses again next year.

I see the Chargers signed one of our two QB to a free agent contract. I hope Jarrett Lee makes the roster. A class act as person and team player.......was really treated badly while at LSU.......the other guy for some very strange reason was the coaches favorite.

Sandy, I think one of the reasons the chargers made no stupid picks was because we have so many areas of need. Therefore, whoever was picked was bound to be useful in some manner. I do like the two D linemen that were drafted, they look like very good players.
