   Europe wins the Solheim cup. Sounds like it was exciting, too bad it was on the golf channel and since I don't get that, I had to follow on the Internet.

   Mel, is it true that in your community you only get three channels if the rabbit ears are properly aligned and that you still have to dial your phones with rotary dials?

   In some parts that's probably true, and some small towns lucky enough to have cable it isn't much better. My mom did get a few channels but I think 8 were the network affiliates from Joplin or Springfield, It did come in handy for mom when Springfield would show a Southwest Missouri State game, she could watch the Joplin channel.
   
   I would love to get the golf channel but the extra $20 + per month for that and a ton of channels I wouldn't watch is to much for our budget, heck we've almost at times cut back to basic but then I would miss college football on ESPN, Food Network, Comedy Central and MSNBC (which odd enough comes up as Al Jaz on the channel id on the tv, only here would they do that) But I guess that would be for another thread.
   
   Maybe one of these days we will be able to order our cable channels ala carte.

   Mel, those channels are sort of like rooms in our house now that the two boys are married and with their own families. 2700 sq. ft. and we use all of 4 rooms. You are right about most of those channels. Not much worth watching on most of them.
