What a great concept and salute to our troops for Veterans Day!!! As a graduate of Michigan State this had to be one of my proudest moments as a Spartan even though my team didn't win. Coach Tom Izzo and the AD who came up with this idea many years back showed that winning isn't everything and some things are way more important than a game. With everything going on in the world these days it was great to see two teams play so hard in honor of our fighting men and women. Sure am glad the weather in San Diego cooperated as a lot of things could have really impacted the game. I hope this tradition continues in some form for many years to come. Well done by all, first class all the way.

Thanks to all of you who have served and sacrificed so much for our country!!!!!

An hour after the game ended, the rain started. Talk about perfect timing. I talked to a couple of people that attended. They said it was really something. U Conn will get the nod next year from what I heard this morning.

No doubt........a pretty cool thing to do and to salute Veterans Day. Rain Sandy? I thought it never rained in Southern California.

    David,

They were probably trying to get a jump start on the rain so the place would look good for all the tourists that come to town for Thanksgiving week. When it comes to taking care of visitors, they think of everything in San Diego!!!

P.S. - I think San Diego is a whole different world than what I typically think of Southern California.
