That kid looks more seasoned than many of the starting QB's in the NFL today! Watching him double pump, pick out multiple receivers in his progression and just be in control of everything was fun to watch last night. I can think of a young red-shirt freshman kicker that might be on heavy medication today! That was a fun game to watch. The big gun receiver for the Cowboys is also a major stud and will be an NFL major factor immediately

I figure if Mike Holmgren is smart he should trade his two 1st round picks for the number one overall pick and get his quarterback for the next 15 years. Or wait until 4 and take Griffin if nobody jumps ahead to take him as I figure Blackmon goes to the Rams and Kalil to the Vikings.

This kid #81 is truly a stud in the college realm. His cockiness reminds me of Randy Moss and pardon me for the loss of the name of the much traveled guy that did the celebration on the Cowboys Star. A couple of good hits by some seasoned pro backs and he may just grow Alligator Arms and rabbit ears.

Anybody could look good against that "defense." He struggles a bit if the running game is taken away from him.

Why do the receivers always seem to be the ones with the attitudes? Terrell Owens, Ocho Sinco and a few others come to mind. Why don't these guys emulate someone positive like a Jerry Rice who just caught everything in sight and never griped about getting the ball more. If the guy is a Diva, hopefully we will be drafted lower and get a quick wake-up call. All we need is a few more bad attitudes. Give me Jerry Rice and the Barry Sanders of the world and I think I could build a successful unselfish team!

I don't think Blackmon is a jerk, though. From what I have heard, he is Dez Bryant without the attitude.

if you think Justin Blackmon is a diva or anything like the other receivers that he is being mention with in the thread you should google Justin Blackmon - Olivia Hamilton. You will find a great story about his friendship with a little girl who has acute lymphoblastic leukemia. If you watch she is the first person he finds in the stands to celebrate with. Yeah he celebrates a lot after catches but in his case its a college kid having fun. Blackmon has never complain about not getting the ball when winning. During the Fiesta Bowl what ESPN made out to be him complaining on the side lines is more likely him trying to get his teammates heads up.
I have a bias view but Blackmon is a good kid.

    Go Pokes!

I saw the story that Chad mentioned during the game, I have to agree with Chad.

I hope he is really a great guy and an inspiration to others. The story about the little girl and how much he cares is indeed a classy one. Hopefully, that is the real person and not the give me the ball or I won't play hard kind of guy the media sort of hinted at. He is certainly a college stud and should be as well in the NFL.

I hope for Luck's sake the Browns don't get him because everything they touch in the draft turns to crap. I don't understand all the anti-McCoy sentiment now. Don't know if you're a Browns fan or how much you watched them this year but God himself could not have been successful in this system with this personnel - no legitimate playmaker/deep threat, mediocre (at best) receivers, no running game, and a sketchy o-line (especially the right side). It's amazing he only had one concussion this year and can still breathe without assistance. They should've at least tried to make a move to get AJ Green or Julio Jones last year and didn't which is absolutely astounding to me. Greg Little will probably be decent but I don't think he's going to be a #1 receiver. I hope they go after Blackmon. This team just kills me year after year. Sometimes I hate them more than I've ever liked them. That being said, I wouldn't be upset to get Luck but I think it will cost more than 2 first round picks.

Looks like Luck is going to Indy. Guess there will be a lot of specualtion about Peyton Manning over the next couple of months. Maybe his career is over and his injury is worse than the public knows. I don't see Luck and Manning co-existing with the Colts.

I simply don't think you can have multiple neck surgeries without having a lasting impact on arm strength. My gut feeling is that Manning will hang it up because he feels he will be unable to perform at a high level. I have had one neck surgery to remove bone spurs and I know the impact on my arm. I had to give up playing in a 40 and over hardball league because I couldn't throw anymore. He probably had the best doctors available but the neck and all the nerves related to it is a difficult place to operate without causing some impact.

I thought I saw something where Manning was due a $28M bonus in the next week or two. They will have to either rework that or cut him loose. As much as I love my fellow Vol Manning, and as valuable as he has been to the Colts, business is business.

Signing bonus is due March 8th.

I hate the thought that business is business, but I guess that's what we get when we are paying players millions, TV contracts are billions, tickets are crazy money, (something I can't afford), all for a game that we love to watch. But I would be careful, although right now it seems to be working but look at what the fans wanted in Denver, and they got him, don't know what the long term deal will be. In Kansas City the fired Frank White a Royals Hall of Famer from the TV Booth, there is a big fan backlash there where they can't afford to have that, at a bad time when that young team is looking good. A player that Manning has been for the Colts? The wins, jerseys sold, tickets sold, good TV games because of Manning, if he is healthy I would pay him. Also now with the rookie wage scale, I think they could afford both him and Luck, now if they could afford to pay a team around them???
