We are considering looking at the md/mdx line of Workmans again , Looking for opinions on how much they changed from the 2110 and all the problems they had. Thanks from North of the border.

Not sure if they changed the box . But at my past course ours were spitting down the middle and tail gates had issues closing . I think the tail gate latches have changed , not sure if the box has yet .

the tailgate latch issue has been redesigned and no longer has a mechanical latch system, but the tailgate now has notched out areas that sit into the sides of the bed to close. Not sure if it was an option, but our newer MDX's have a key start ignition where it must be in neutral and you turn the key to start rather than just getting on the gas. Also, make sure they come with the upgraded brake cables that are adjustable otherwise you'll have major parking brake handle issues

I"m sure way to late in the game on this conversation, but there are a ton of options for the MD. We purchased two last spring. You can get the option for a starter generator or key start (have to specify). We opted for starter generator off the foot feed. As far as I can tell, these carts are great. We added the two to two existing MD's from about 3 or 4 years ago, and the only thing that has changed is the tire size on the rear, and the tailgate. Like someone else mentioned, the mechanical opening gate was a bear, never worked and the latch always got stretched out. If I had my choice, I'd go back to the latches from the 1100's about ten years ago. The new gate that lifts up and than cams out can be tough for some I've noticed if the boxes are loaded full of soil pushing on it. Overall though, the less moving parts the better. We opted for no canopy, or any other optional features. But, these carts are tough. We use them and keep the manual transmission big carts parked, as I'm sure your younger folks can't drive a stick either, and I like to have a clutch when I get back in the cart.
