salsco roller shafts Cancel The title field is required!

   we have two salsco rollers, the drum shafts are heild in place by set screws that either will not stay or wear

   We have two Salsco Rollers here and our 2004 has had this issue after the first year of service. I ended up
   welding the sprockets to the shaft to stop them from becoming loose all the time.It works well just keep
   chains tight and replace them every couple of years, check your clearance on the end of the drums before you
   weld anything. When it is time to replace the sprockets just cut off the shafts and do a little grinding drive
   the old shaft out of the drum and replace with a new one, your own or factory shaft. Hope this helps.

   Are you talking about the shaft and bearings at each end or where the Shaft comes through the roller? In the past on the older units I welded the shaft to the drum. On the newer units they are welded and have a very good fit up into the frame, then slide on your bearing blocks and no more issues. The new design the roller can't move from side to side due to shaft size with it machined down on the outer ends to accept the bearings.
