New reels in cutting units Cancel The title field is required!

   I have replaced the worn reels in my Toro cutting units. Fairway and greens. 
   Should they be sharpened before using them. Toro rep said no. Last time I replaced some I gave them a light spin as they don’t feel very sharp.

   A light backlap is what I always did.

   I would grind them lightly to get the paint off the reels. That way you know your reels are
   in good shape. You don't know how they were handled before they were boxed up for shipping.
