Just wondering what method many of you are using to adjust your mowers? Started out many of years ago servicing mowers and adjusted with very light contact between reel and bedknife with good results.  Now I'm changing it up and going with 0.015" clearance providing no contact. And of course must be able to cut paper with both methods. Thanks

I prefer to have no contact on Toro DPA heads, JD QAD heads, slight contact on Jac heads on our LF550. They are all different and may need to be adjusted differently.  Good luck.

I use light contact on my greensmowers. just enough to cut thin paper. I do the same with my fairway mowers when I first set them up but let them wear more and just adjust them as needed.

light to no contact between reel and bedknife. makes the reel and bedknife last longer.
