We have an 09 club car precedent that will run sometimes and other times not. We put an inline spark plug tester on it and show weak spark. We've tried a new plug doesn't affect the weak spark. We also have some DS carts and we have the same issue with one of those. We put in a new, coil, igniter and rpm limitor but still weak spark in the DS. Looking for some help. Thanks

Just a little confusion here, you said you replaced the igniter. A separate igniter hasn't been used on that engine since 1996. The ignitor is built into the coil. Regardless, the only thing you haven't addressed as I can see is the spark plug cap assembly. Remove the cap assembly and with an ohmmeter place the red probe on the end that fits the spark plug and the black probe on the other end with the screw in it. You should read resistance of 4.5k - 6.0 ohms. If not, replace. Another problem could be the wire to the coil that attaches to the terminal (ignitor) could have been pinched by the engine shroud or just not making a good connection.

Sorry about the confusion. Yes the DS models we have are 96 (which still had the igniter separate). I will check into the spark plug cap. Thanks

Are you checking the spark at the plug or through the coil wire itself, and using a spark tester? Also when I ran ez-go we ran into the same issue. Sometimes they would run and other times just sit there and turn over. We ended up checking and adjusting the valves and that solved our running issues. I would also check and clean my engine grounds as well.
