I have had to replace 8 different Carlisle tires on my John Deere fleet. I am going into the 3rd year of lease. The tires have all separated causing massive bubbles in the sidewalls. Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble with tires separating. Its starting to get expensive to keep replacing these tires.

we have had this happen quite a bit and blamed it on under inflation but I began to wonder why the operators would just under inflate the carlisle tires. I live in Carlisle and a few years back they closed their plant here and moved most production to China although some is still done in the southern states. coincidence?

We have the same problem with our smooth tires on green and tee mowers. We go through 3-5 a year. Once they bubble on a greens mower we move them to a tee mower till the bubble blows out. Some thoughts we have had is that the mowers are too heavy for the tires or that our rough cart paths and rough grass cause them to fail prematurely. Sorry no solution but your not alone.

We have the same problems. All of our tires have been 2ply. I found 6ply this week and will be trying these.

We go through quite a few of these tires and just live with the cost. 2 ply tires just can't handle the weight of the machine for very long but they do lessen the tire tracking on the greens or in soft conditions. I'd like to see some pics of the tire tracking after you install the 6 ply tires.

I was having the same issue with those tires. I have found much better tire life with the lower profile option tire. They are a half inch wider and seem to hold up much better. Now if I could only find a Sidewinder tire that worked as well.

We too have been having issues with the tires. Our tires are the 4ply tire. Same thing separates and causes bubbles along the side wall. I too have a 2nd year fleet of JD 2500 that have the 20*10-10 tire. This is getting ridiculous I have been through 5 tires within a two month period and it is always the left side tire.

Just noticed the same thing, will have to go back through our records to find out how often we have changed and how long this one lasted, but we have one now on our Ransome G-Plex II - it's a two-ply and on the left side.

We went to the 18-10.5 - 10 and have had much less trouble.

Has anyone contacted Carlisle to let them know of the issues that are going on? We go through quite a few tires a year but the wear comes from having to use the roads in the subdivision to access the course.

Well based on Tim's suggestion I did contact Carlise about the issue. First off I learned from going to their website is that this tire that we are all having issues with has a two year warranty on it. I did not know that!!! You have to fill out an online warranty/registration card. Second, I sent them an email stressing my displeasure with the tire issues that I was experiencing and that I wanted some answers. Lo and behold I got a phone call back from them. We are currently playing phone tag at the moment but from when I talked to them yesterday they are going to send me a call tag to have my tires picked up and then look at them and send me either a refund for the purchase price or new tires. Maybe all of us should do the same thing.

We had the same thing last year with our sidewinders, bubbles on the inside and outside sidewall. We went though at least 8 tires between two sidewinders. We complained all summer to our distributor and eventually got compensated for most of them. Switched to Kenda tires and have not had a problem since. I will never buy another Carlisle tire again.

We also have had roughly 6-8 tires go bad this season, have not seen a bubble on the outside sidewall though always on the inside

I had same problem on new JD 2500B Only 100 hours on the machine and it was also the left side. My JD dealer replaced it. A few years back I had Carlisle multi trac c/s tires on utility carts and carlisle replaced all 16 after they completely wore out in less than two years. Although my problems have been solved I think Ill look for different tires in the future.

I spoke with someone at Carlisle yesterday. You can call (800) 260 7959 and file a warranty claim. You have to have a copy of the invoice and pictures of the tires. As long as they were purchased within 2 years, they will work with you on warrantying them out. I am filing my claim today on 9 tires. I will post what happens later.
