    Hello,

Can anyone recommend a used equipment dealer in Florida or the Southeast.

    Thanks,

Call Rich Ramadom, they are located in the Fort Myers. 305 984-4651.

Sorry I can't recall his company name, but I know Rich Jr, and he is a good guy and has a lot of stock.

    Regards,

I was wondering the best way of getting rid of old equipment. Last year a local rep asked $150 toward a trade in on for a 1995 84"National, a 1989 Toro 3000, and a 1990 some Jacobsen utility cart with a top dresser. Everything ran great and the top dresser was in mint condition. They said the would give another $100 for the reels for the Toro, which obviously we could keep. They then, from observing there used equip sight would try and get about $8000 for it all. I am in an area where they monopolize the market. I could go south find a 5 year old model with the same amount of hours for 2/3 to even 1/2 the price.
So I am asking would I better be off trying to sell these out right or on consignment auction?
My course is a 15 year old course built by volunteers and all the equipment was bought used. We make enough to get by so there is no future for new equipment, but I thought I could sell these to make some money to put towards, again a new used piece.
I actually took the Toro 3000, parted it out an sold it for scrap. We got $75 for scrap metal, just the frame.

I've gotten lucky over the years selling it piece by piece. Think outside of the box though. I sold some to a school that needed a mower, cart and pull behind Meter-Matic topdresser for their sports fields. None was in great condition and I got more than $150.

You can always try putting some pieces on Craigslist.com we've had some success with that.
