I have a 2006 Toro Workman 4200 that the automatic choke will lose vacuum and close when shifting into second gear or even when sitting stationary and being revved. This causes the machine to bog down and either stall or run extremely rough and slow.
Toro had replaced the entire carb and choke assembly in June and this helped but the problem is now reoccuring.

    Any ideas?

There is an adjustment procedure in the service manual for the choke. We have to adjust our machines several times a year to match the temperature changes to keep them running right.

The air temperature has not changed much if any from when Toro changed the carb back in June. So environmental is out.
